Color Burst Landscapes Has Been Acquired by American Landscaping Partners, LLC

FourBridges initiated, negotiated and structured the deal on behalf of Color Burst

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (December 15, 2020) — FourBridges Capital announced today the acquisition of Nashville-based Color Burst Landscapes by American Landscaping Partners LLC (ALP). ALP owns and operates leading landscaping companies located across the U.S. and is a portfolio company of Cold Bore Capital, a Chicago-based private equity fund.

FourBridges initiated the transaction and negotiated the terms on behalf of Color Burst, the Frank F. Chalfont Trust and longtime co-owner Brian Edwards. Truxton Trust of Nashville acted as Trustee for the Chalfont Trust.

Founded by the late Frank Chalfont, Color Burst is a market-leading full-service landscaping company, providing maintenance as well as design and installation services to top-tier commercial, retail and corporate clients. Operating out of three facilities in the Nashville metro area, Color Burst has distinguished itself with deep expertise in seasonal color installation.

As part of the transaction, Brian Edwards will continue in his role as Sales Manager and retain an equity interest in the company.

“It was very satisfying to see the amount of interest we were able to generate from potential buyers,” said Andy Stockett, Managing Director at FourBridges. “While the COVID situation and the events of an election year presented some complexities, we continued to run our processes as always and enabled the stakeholders achieve their objectives.”

“It was very satisfying to see the amount of interest we were able to generate from potential buyers.”

“Color Burst is the best-in-class landscaping company in the greater Nashville area. It’s our great pleasure to continue the legacy that has been established,” said Stefan Banks, CEO of American Landscaping Partners. “ALP was founded by former US military special operators with a belief that we can apply our unique strategic planning, team building, and execution skills to the U.S. landscaping industry. We couldn’t be more pleased with this outcome.”

American Landscaping Partners was supported by Much Shelist and Plante Moran, who provided legal counsel and accounting support, respectively.

The FourBridges team of Andy Stockett, Andrew Allred and Chris Rowe acted as exclusive M&A advisors to Color Burst. Stuart Campbell, Matt Roberts and Bill Joseph of Stites and Harbison acted as legal counsel.
