Doug is a Senior Advisor to FourBridges Capital Advisors. He has many years of executive experience in the technology and telecommunication sectors including holding senior executive positions at large companies such as Compaq Computer and IBM, as well as founding and managing start up and high growth companies. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Nivis, LLC, the world's leading developer and integrator of wireless network technologies. Prior to joining Nivis, Doug was a technology advisor for an investment banking firm. In 2002, Doug joined Internet Security Systems (ISS), Atlanta, Georgia, as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations. While at ISS, Mr. Johns’ team accomplished a significant turnaround by introducing the Proventia™ line of products. In 1995, he founded a supply chain management company that produced the Monorail™ and “build-to-order” IBM NetVista personal computer. Doug started his career with IBM Corporation and helped grow the Personal Computer business from 1982 to 1983. At the end of 1983, he joined Compaq Computer Corporation in Houston, Texas. During his tenure, Compaq’s business grew from $100 million to $3 billion. Doug left Compaq in 1993 as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Personal Computer Division. |
